# Accessibility statement

Published under Article 32 of the Polish Accessibility Act (Journal of Laws 2024, item 731), which implements Directive (EU) 2019/882. Last reviewed 10 October 2026.

## Where we stand

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA and to the accessibility requirements of EN 301 549 as applied to e-commerce services under the Polish Accessibility Act.[1]

Current status: partially conformant. This site is a pre-launch information site and has not yet undergone an independent third-party audit. We state that plainly rather than claiming full conformance we cannot evidence. Conformance against the transactional storefront will be published separately, accompanied by an external audit, before public launch.

Because e-commerce accessibility has been mandatory in Poland since 28 June 2025, with the Minister for Digitalisation as the market-surveillance authority, this is a legal statement and not a marketing one.[2]

## What is implemented on this site

### Perceivable

Text contrast meets AA at every size used. Colour is never the sole carrier of meaning. Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.

### Operable

Every interaction is reachable and completable by keyboard. Focus is visible with a 3 px indicator. A skip link precedes the header. The mobile navigation is a native dialog, so Escape and focus containment are guaranteed by the platform.

### Understandable

Pages declare their language. Content works without JavaScript. Link text describes its destination. Every page exists in English and Polish with matching structure.

### Robust

Semantic HTML landmarks, valid heading order, form fields with explicit labels, and progressive enhancement so no content depends on a framework.

## Known gaps, disclosed

- No independent audit yet. Checks to date are automated (contrast, structure, landmarks) plus manual keyboard testing. A third-party audit is scheduled before public launch.
- No user testing with assistive technology yet. Sessions with screen-reader and switch-access users are planned for the beta phase; the results will be published here.
- The contact form hands off to a mail client. This is a deliberate limitation of a static preview, not a design choice for the product.
- Some code samples may overflow horizontally on very narrow viewports. They scroll rather than wrap, which preserves code semantics; we are evaluating an alternative.

If any of these gaps blocks you from using the site, tell us. That converts a note into a tracked defect.

## Reporting an accessibility problem

Write to accessibility@swiftshop.pl. To process a complaint under Article 36 of the Act we need, at minimum:

1. Your name.
2. A correspondence address, email address or phone number, and your preferred contact method.
3. The product or service concerned.
4. The accessibility requirement you believe is not met, and what you are asking us to do.

Response commitment. We reply within 30 days. In exceptionally complicated cases we will tell you why within that window and give a new date, no later than 60 days from receipt.[1]

If we miss the deadline, the complaint is deemed granted under the Act and we must fulfil your request within six months of receiving it.

> **Note:** Escalation. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may notify the President of PFRON, which will consider the matter or refer it to the competent market-surveillance authority. For e-commerce that authority is the Minister for Digitalisation.[2]

## Disproportionate burden

We claim no exemption under Article 21 of the Act. No requirement on this site has been set aside as a disproportionate burden or as a fundamental alteration, and no such assessment has been recorded.[1]

If that changes, the assessment, its documented reasoning and its five-year retention record will be published here, and reported to the appropriate authority as the Act requires.
